EKO, the Entrepreneurship and Social Economy Group, is a non-profit organisation seated in Athens, Greece, with an extended network of partners across Europe, the Euromed basin, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
Full description
It is the founding member of the Euromed Network of Youth Organizations (Y-NEMO), as well as a founding member of the International Alliance for Peace and Development (IAPD) with members in European and MENA countries. EKO also supports the Observatory to Prevent Extremist Violence (OPEV) as an active member contributing constructively to prevent and combat violent extremism, organizing various events, info days and conferences to raise awareness on this matter.
EKO`s primary mission is to contribute to the creation of an inclusive society, free from prejudice and discrimination, which will be in the position to develop and grow a sustainable living environment.
EKO’s actions include is planning, coordinating and implementing multiple Erasmus+ Programs, implementation of a KA2 projects on various subjects of interest, mobilizing efforts through networking and support of various UN bodies, Organization of On-site and Online Courses and Seminars open to young people.

"Communication Bridges for Young People" was hosted in Athens, in November 2016
with Greece, Turkey, Italy, Poland, Bulgaria, Egypt &Croatia.
“Deconstructing Migration in the Mediterranean” took place in Athens, in November
2016 with Italy, Turkey & Greece.
“Solidarity for the Environment” took place in Athens, in October 2017 with Greece,
Italy, Bulgaria, Croatia, Turkey, Egypt, Austria, Spain, and Jordan.
“EuroMed Network of Civil Society Youth” took place in Athens, in October 2017
with Greece, Bulgaria, Croatia, Egypt, Jordan, Italy, Poland, Romania, Spain, Tunisia
and Turkey.
“Olympic Spirit for Peacebuilding” which took place in April 2018 and involved young
people from Greece, Estonia, Malta, Israel, Italy, Czech Republic, Russia and Turkey.
“Globalization vs. Cultural Diversity”, which took place in Athens in April 2018 with
participants from 8 different countries (Greece, Italy, Spain, Lithuania, Czech
Republic, Austria, Poland, and Turkey)
“COUNTERING VIOLENT EXTREMISM”, which took place in Athens in November
2018 and involved 42 young people from 7 different countries Greece, Spain, Turkey,
Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia and Italy)..
“GREEN CITIES” involved 62 young people from eight (8) organizations from
different countries: Egypt, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Croatia, Turkey, United
Kingdom.
“Europe United: Facing challenges reinforcing Solidarity”, which took place in Athens,
Greece in April 2019 and involved 50 young participants from 7 countries (Greece,
Lithuania, Italy, Estonia, Spain, Poland, Germany)
“Breaking Walls, Building Bridges”, which took place in Athens, Greece in March
2019 and involved 41 young people from 4 countries (Greece, Turkey, Armenia and
Cyprus)
