Peace & Shammah Foundation (PSF) is a registered Organization (Reg. Number CDR 641 (B) and fully operational as a Community-Based Organization (CBO) in Gulu District; Northern Uganda.

As an indigenous Civil Society Organization (CSO) that is working with underprivileged youth, children and young people through offering an opportunity for maximal development of skills in children, young people and the youth through training and nurturing of their talents.

Guided under the framework themed: “Rebuilding the mental infrastructures of children and youth whose lives have been distorted and future stolen”, the Organization’s concerted efforts are geared towards preventing and countering violent extremism (P/CVE) and addiction recovery and behavioural change initiatives amongst youth and children in Northern Uganda

Objectives
a) To develop, establish and support efforts and programmes to improve livelihood and wellbeing of disadvantaged children, youth & general communities.
b) To empower children, youth and the young people through acquisition of skills programs to realize their full potential;
c) To enhance the welfare of children and youth by engaging them in income generating activities (IGAs) that are geared towards poverty reduction and enterprise development.
d) To enhance the socio-economic status of families and child-headed households affected by HIV/AIDS through support of sustainable income generating activities (IGAs).
e) To promote, improve and uplift the social, economic and cultural condition of the community members especially the youth and children with a view to improving their standards of living.

f) To mobilize people to participate in community development programmes geared towards the welfare of children, young people and youth in Northern Uganda.

g) To work Government, local and international Non-Governmental Organizations to promote and protect rights of children and youth.
h) To organize social functions, meetings, symposia, seminars and other activities where members and others can come together and interact with a view to further and promote the aims and objectives of the Foundation.
i) To mobilize resources both locally and internationally to facilitate the promotion of the rights of children and youth through promoting literal learning, networking and information exchange.
j) To operate, establish or engage in activities such as, projects, schemes, and programs for advancing and furtherance of the community, in particular by promoting the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
